Camping and overnight parking

We have a Certificated 5 van site (CS) with the Camping and Caravanning Club (members only) which is open from 1st April - 30th September, although if you are passing before then, and would like to stopover, please email us at enquiries@brinherbnursery.co.uk - I am sure we will be able to accommodate you. If you are not a member you can join when you come!

We are situated 7 miles (it may seem longer) from A9 at Daviot - allow 15 minutes - and about 20 miles from A82 at Fort Augustus - allow 50 mins. It is a very scenic drive - particularly from Fort Augustus -but some of the road is single track. The shop and Schoolroom Cafe are open from 31st March until Sepember, Thursdays - Mondays only. We are closed, apart from plant sales, on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Please let us know, if you can, if you are going to arrive on a Monday or Tuesday evening, in case for any reason we are not going to be about.

Parking is hard and flat with views of the surrounding hills including Stac Gorm and Brin Rock.

We will be holding another "Highland Gathering” (free), a "Minimeet"(free), and a C&CC rally again in 2012 - so why not join us!

We also welcome visitors in motorhomes to use the nursery as a stopover, by prior arrangement. We are members of various internet motorhome forums including www.britstops.com Stopovers in the car park are very informal and completely separate from the CS. The area used for stopovers is not a "campsite" as such, but space, in a rural setting to park a van overnight.

The basics:

There will be no charge for the parking in the car park overnight.

Our main car park is available for one night only and we ask you to leave by midday. The entrance to this is narrow - but the oil tanker gets in so there shouldn't be too many motorhomes that don't!

Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome.

Fresh drinking water is available.

The shop will open on Thursdays - Mondays from 8.30am and cafe will be open from11am. Both will close at 5.30pm. You are not obliged to buy anything, but of course we would be delighted if you found something of interest to you! Plants can be bought anytime during daylight hours - again, no obligation to buy. Breakfast may be available, by arrangement.

There is a shower that may be available for use by visitors, although there will be specific times for this and there will be a charge.

We are busy people and are not always able to answer the telephone. Therefore our preferred method of communication, if you require further infomation, is by email enquiries@brinherbnursery.co.uk or PM, from a forum. We will respond as soon as we can.
