Range of Plants

We stock a range of over 350 herb plants, wild flower plants, plants for wildlife, salad plants, as well as some alpines, bulbs, herbaceous perennials, some small shrubs and heather plants.

We grow almost all of our own herb and wildflower plants from our own stock. Some of the less hardy varieties we buy in as "plugs" (plantlets grown in small cells) which we pot up in March and April. The plants are then thoroughly hardened off, here, 700' above sea level before they go out for sale.

Other plants are grown in Scotland, or are bought in as plugs and treated in the same way as out herbs and wild flowers (see above) and our heather plants are grown in the North of Scotland by a social enterprise firm, Solstice Nurseries.
